wowoowow. we are so happy we can finally share this with you.
Most of you may have seen by now but Harriet has been working away day and night to design the brand new line of apparel for Battersea Dogs and Cats home!
In a random chain of events, a lovely lady at Battersea went into a meeting one morning with Teemill to discuss apparel plans wearing a Made by Harriet sweatshirt.... little did she know it was someone we had been working super closely with to set up our own apparel so she instantly recognised it. Cut to a little while later and we've been invited over to Battersea Cats and Dogs Home to have a tour and meet all the gorgeous pups and cats so Harriet can draw some inspo for the colab!
Completely unconnected and before all this, Harriet had been approached because someone at Battersea had seen one of her paintings online and wanted to use it for their artwork at the Battersea Gala. Which is just madness. The little chihuahua was used on their brochures, table numbers and then the original artwork was auctioned off to raise money.
Harriet and I love any excuse for a London day out. Our visits usually involve a theatre show or a museum, a very good dinner, and a lot of time following dogs around parks....most of the time following dogs around parks.
But this day was extra special because we were getting a tour around Battersea, to meet the lovely people behind the scenes and the dogs and cats that are currently being cared for there. We were warmly welcomed by some of the Battersea team and given a full tour of the grounds, the intake building, the dog kennels and the cattery. You can see how much everyone there absolutely adores these animals and it's amazing to be a part of raising awareness and hopefully getting them some loving-forever homes.
All of Harriet's drawings and apparel designs are based on the real residents of Battersea that are looking for love.

The money raised from the sales of these products will help Battersea be there for every dog and cat. Battersea offers love and expert care to dogs and cats by rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals at their centres, and by sharing knowledge and resources with rescue organisations around the world.
